For those of you who can’t wait for the new Ford Fiesta ST Concept to become reality, Ford has introduced this, the special edition Fiesta Metal.
Just 1,000 UK examples will be produced priced from £15,695 in a choice of Panther Black, Midnight Sky or Frozen White.
Warm Metal
The Metal, which is based on the popular three-door 118bhp Ford Fiesta Zetec-S has been warmed up by Ford engineers.
Power from the 1.6-litre Duratec Ti-VCT petrol unit rises to 132bhp and 118 lb ft of torque.
That means the Fiesta can reach 62mph in just 8.7 seconds. And while it’s no Fiesta ST, it’s available now for a much more modest price.
The Styling
Exterior styling is suitably sporty including features such as;
- 17 Inch Black Alloy Wheels
- Chrome Twin Exhaust Pipes
- Silver Front Grille Surround
- Front Fog Light Bezels
- Sports Tuning With Lowered Ride Height
On the inside, the sporty theme continues with;
- Ebony Black Leather Sports Seats With Silver Contrast Stitching
- Piano Black Accents On The Centre Stack Bezels, Air Ring Vents And Door Pulls
- Stainless Steel Door Scuff Plates With Fiesta Logo
- Unique Floor Mats With Silver Piping
Safety Equipment
The new Fiesta Metal also boasts a high level of standard safety equipment including;
- Electronic Stability Programme (ESP)
- Home Safe Headlights
- Electric Power-Assisted Steering (EPAS)
- Intelligent Protection System (IPS)
- Front, Side And Knee Airbags
- Anti-Lock Brakes
- Electric Brake Force Distribution (EBD)
Ford’s UK marketing director, Anthony Ireson said;
“This Ford Fiesta special edition gives the customer greater exterior styling with an enhanced performance engine. Customers love that we create Fiestas with special features that prove to be real head-turners”.
Just 1,000 examples of the Ford Fiesta Metal will be produced so if you like the look of it, call your Ford dealer now.

Owned one for a week now and well impressed with looks and performance. I previously owned a Fiesta Zetec S MK 7 and the Metal is a cut above.
This car is what the Zetec S should have been.
Standard equipment and drivability make this car a bargain at the price.

Getting our one next week,cant wait, previously owned focus 1600 but this car is so much better looking and a lot faster on the uptake .
Ordered one yesterday and will be here in 2 weeks, compound out in Germany – ticked all the options boxes as well so has push start/keyless/privacy glass/sony dab and a spare wheel. The zetec s was a good car especially with the mountune upgrade but this should be all things that wasn’t. Cant wait
Ordered one this week but not getting built until january , So it’s a March delivery. Have a 09 1.4 Zetec at the moment so i can’t wait for the extra power and spec. According to my dealer most of the 1000 are sold and ford are thinking of building 500 more to meet demand.

Had the car for one month now, took it back to the dealer for a one month check over, noticed that the coolant and the brake fluid levels went down to min level, apart from that the car is a dream to drive.
Ive just come back from Ford… looking to get mine ordered and keep it for March (12plate)….
White, with the black wheels, the rest of the exterior and interior styling is impeccable !! I love the Zetec-S but saw the Metal and just thought WOW !!!
I’ve got a test drive on Sunday so we’ll see what the engine is saying

Looked at Ford’s brochure of the Fiesta Metal and the black option looks like a satin finish.
