Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the newly facelifted 2012 Toyota Aygo.
After an appearance at the Brussels Motor Show earlier this year, the new Aygo will go on sale in the UK from 1st March.

Featuring the sporty Fire model and the Comfortable Ice model, prices within the range have both risen and fallen slightly.
The new 2012 Aygo range now consists of;
- Aygo
- Aygo+
- Aygo Fire
- Aygo Ice
The Style
On the styling front, the Aygo has been given Toyota’s new family face.
Particular attention has been given to the lower section of the car, with the wider front bumper, integrated foglights and large air intake providing a more purposeful stance.
The new look is further enhanced by the LED daytime running lights built into the lower edge of the front grille on the Aygo Fire.
But the changes aren’t just aesthetic, oh no. According to Toyota, the new bumper is more aerodynamically efficient while the larger front air intake helps to improve the engine cooling performance.
Other exterior changes include the front grille and a resculpted bonnet. The end result is a suitably refreshed car which is 15 mm longer than the outgoing model.
The Engine
Toyota’s goal is to provide Aygo buyers with comfortable transport without bruising their wallet or the planet.
So with this in mind, engineers at Toyota have improved the 1.0-litre VVT-i petrol unit for lower emissions and fuel consumption.
Linked to the manual gearbox, the end result is 65.7 mpg on the combined cycle and CO2 emissions of just 99 g/km which means no car tax and no London Congestion Charge.
Models linked to Toyota’s MultiMode automatic transmission are slightly less efficient at 62.7 mpg and 104 g/km of CO2.
